What is the program like?
7th–12th grade. Students who have just completed 6th grade are welcome to participate during the summer before starting 7th grade, and graduating seniors may continue attending through the summer following their graduation.
Eagan TreeHouse is a safe place where teens can be heard, build healthy relationships, develop a support system, and strengthen social-emotional skills. Through consistent encouragement, caring adults, and authentic community, teens discover that they are valued, supported, and never alone.
Is treehouse counsiling/therapy?
Does it cost money?
No, TreeHouse is not formal therapy, but we provide consistent emotional support and caring relationships for teens. We regularly partner with counselors, schools, and social workers to help create a full circle of care around each teen.
No, TreeHouse is completely free for teens. While there are occasional trips and activities that may have a cost, scholarships are always available to ensure that finances are never a barrier to participation.
Is it okay for schools to send their students even though it's in a church?
How do we know we can trust the program?
Absolutely, TreeHouse has been partnering with schools for many years. Our Tuesday Support Group program does not include religious teaching and is open to all students. We never pressure teens to believe anything—they are loved, valued, and accepted exactly as they are.
All TreeHouse staff and volunteers complete training developed in partnership with licensed mental health professionals and grounded in more than 40 years of experience walking alongside teens through emotional and mental health challenges.
Can my teen particpate in mentorship only?
No, we ask that students participate consistently in our programming before being matched with a mentor. This helps us build strong relationships with students and manage our mentoring capacity effectively.
Will my teen be welcomed and cared for?
All teens are welcome at Eagan TreeHouse. We don’t discriminate or try to convert—every teen is treated with care and dignity. If a teen doesn’t feel safe, then we’re not doing our job.
will my teen be pressured into religion?
What kind of teens come?
No, while TreeHouse is built on Christian values and some teens may choose to explore faith, no one is ever pressured to believe or participate in anything faith-based. Every teen is welcomed exactly as they are. Tuesday's are specifically faith-netural.
The teens who walk through our doors come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Some face significant challenges, while others are simply looking for community and a place to belong. What brings them together is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, find support, and discover hope.
Does my teen need to be refered?

No referral is necessary. Teens can come on their own, be invited by a friend, or be encouraged by a parent, school staff member, or community partner.
Yes, Eagan TreeHouse has a ride radius that we do offer rides to and from program. When a student rsvp's on the sign up link for program, it will take you to a ride request page. Talk to a staff to see if you are within the radius.
